Page 1 Options:

RANDOM PLANETS: Enables randomized planets. Note: this will turn off MARATHON MODE and CHOOSE PLANETS if on.

ALLOW SAME PLANETS: Allows the same planets to be selected. Only effective if Random Planets is on.

RANDOM ITEMS: All item spawns will be random.

RANDOM ENGINE COLORS: Cycles through different back engine colors.

RANDOM EXPERT: Chances of the level being in expert or regular mode is 50/50.

RANDOM MUSIC: Takes a random music ID when a music change occurs.

RANDOM PORTRAITS: Speaking character portraits will be randomized based on the level ID.

RANDOM DIALOG: Random character voice lines and text.

RANDOM MAP COLORS: Randomly changes the map colors while playing.

RANDOM DEATH ITEM: Chooses a random item once per level as a item that kills the player if collected.

Special Modes page:

ENDURANCE MODE: A timer is present at the top of the screen. You will instantly game over if it reaches zero. Score points to increase the timer. Below is how the scoring for this mode works.

*If collected a bomb or used a bomb, subtracts 100 points from the timer. 160 if on expert.
*If the player has a dual laser, add 160 to the kill made. 140 on expert.
*If the player has a hyper laser, add 200 to the kill made. 180 on expert.
*When a kill is made, it will multiple that value by 45. 40 on expert. The more kills made in a single frame, the higher the multiplier.
*When the player completes a level, based on if the timer is green, yellow, or red, it will add these amounts to the score:
Green 550 (300 expert), Yellow 450 (200 expert), Red 100 (0 expert)

PROTECT THE TARGETS: Starts on Katina where you must protect Bill and Katt from dying from swarms of enemies (and yourself). If the timer reaches 15000 without both targets lost, the player will win the stage. Normal mode starts you out with 5 bombs and hypers. Expert is default items.

MARATHON MODE: Plays the game starting from Training Mode then takes the blue path > yellow path > red path.

BOSS RUSH MODE: Stages only have bosses in them. Marathon Mode can also be enabled with this mode allowing all planet bosses and venoms.

BONUS STAGE: If this is set to random ("RAN"), the player has a 50-50 chance of entering this stage after completing Bolse or Area 6. If set to the "ON" state, the player will need to get a set amount of score by the end of Area 6 or Bolse. The scores needed are listed below:

*Regular game or expert mode score needed (no special modes active): 1000
*Only Marathon Mode: 2500
*Only Boss Rush Mode: 50000
*Boss Rush Mode and Marathon Mode: 85000

This stage is basically a free for all with all wingmen available for asseting Fox along with Rob. In set intervals, Rob will ready a special bomb. When this is ready, text will be displayed above the mini map. Press L to deploy it. Certain enhanced Wolf ships may appear after getting a set score. These will be a slightly enhanced version of typical Wolf enemies. Destroying them will yeild 50+ hits. 100+ hits on Expert with also slightly more tweaked AI and health.

This stage can also be selected using "Choose Planets".

DEBUG MODE: Contains an assortment of options for testing:

Z + R + L = Speed up
Z + R + C-Up = Add hypers
Z + D-Pad Right = Add life
Z + D-Pad Left = Add bomb
Z + D-Pad Down = Reset to Title
Z + D-Pad Up = Reset to Planet Screen
D-Pad Left = Freeze Frame Mode
D-Pad Right = Resume from Freeze Frame
D-Pad Up = Save Checkpoint (might not be perfect)
D-Pad Down = Restart at checkpoint if set

RAINBOW BOMBS: Bomb color changes to multicolors.

ONE HIT KO: Player dies in one hit.

ALL MEDALS AND EXPERT: Unlocks expert. If you want a normal game, disable this then erase the save data from the main menu.

CHOOSE PLANETS: Allows the player to select planets with the L button in the planet selection screen. Note: This will turn off special modes.

QUICK SCORE SCREENS: Displays the score screens when a level ends instantly.

EXTRA STAR WOLFS: Wolf ships appear in Sector Y at the boss, Sector Z after the first missile spawns, in Katina when the UFO appears, at the Andross brain fight, and always enabled on Bolse.
